Apple is reportedly working on a curved screen and touchless gesture control.
Bloomberg reported the curved phone would bend inward from top to bottom unlike Samsung’s Edge devices, which curve the panel at the sides. Touchless gesture control would be used with your hand or fingers and need no physical screen contact.
Apple is also seeking other screen manufacturers such as LG, due to panel shortage from Samsung. We expect more OLED panels to become the normal for iPhones and we’ll see a new model launch later this year.
Both of these features are very early into development. Just like many new and innovative ideas, these always have a chance to be scrapped all together.
